Why can't golden turds go into the Outhouse?

It would make things so much simpler if golden turds could be collected in the outhouse like normal turds. If you have a lot of golden poopers it's hard to go on a crusade that lasts more than a day or 2 before enough poop has stacked around that the sanitation bar completely empties. It's even more unmanageable with babies also in the mix.

Is there some reason they can't use an Outhouse like a civilized cult member?

I posted a bug report because my cleaners weren't cleaning any of the golden poop.

Are we the only ones who can clean it?

For me, its not just the golden poop, a lot of my cult members will ignore the outhouses and go poop elsewhere.

I think so because I've never seen any follower clean any special kind of poop and it's always exclusively pooped outside while normal brown poop gets pooped in the outhouse or gets cleaned up. The problem is a bred an entire generation that only does golden poop so all poop happens outside and my outhouses are being ignored, and it's making it really hard to stay away from my base for more than 5 or 10 minutes without disease spreading.

Yeah, after reading your post I noticed they weren't cleaning up the other special poops as well.

I did the same thing, breeding a lot of golden poop. If anything, I had hoped it would be better tolerated, i.e. people not getting sick looking at it. But its everywhere and so the illness bar is always super low when I get back from crusades. I've stopped breeding golden poop because of this.

i havent bred for anything other than ++sin and my randomly generated cultists poop outside often enough that it -feels- like when i didnt have outhouses at all. it is really awkward and i would really prefer if they either pooped in a civilized way or there was a clean-up protocol that didnt include the lamb

Just having 20 followers seems to result in enough magic poop that you can’t be gone for more than 2 days without followers getting sick and being at risk of dying of it.

If magic poop has to go on the ground then fine but the janitor station jobs should be collecting it and putting it in your pick-up chest. Either that or it should magically be not reducing sanitation level.

I’m not sure if this whole thing is a bug or if it’s intentional and not well thought out since there’s no way to mitigate the problem the way you can with other stuff, like brainwashing everyone and having them fast before you go off fighting.
