WHERE THE HELL IS MIDAS???

I’ve done 50 RUNS on Silk Cradle and spent 10 HOURS trying to find this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to get the Shake Down achievement. I’ve already completed the 2 initial encounters required for the achievement, but I have to be the absolute unluckiest person to ever exist, I cannot for the ever living ♥♥♥♥ find him ANYWHERE.

I went through Darkwood and Anchordeep SO MANY TIMES incase I somehow missed him in my insanity, but he is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GHOST.

Yes that's EXACTLY how it works, you get ONE SHOT to get the achievement so if you fail to beat up Midas on the third encounter in Silk Cradle then guess who's gotta do the whole game again to get another shot.
Edit: oh and just for the record, if you WANT someone to help you, TURN YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CAPS LOCK OFF, BECAUSE ALL THIS DOES IT MAKE IT LOOK LIKE YOUR YELLING!

i am ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yelling because i was so exhausted from the grind and now im being told im softlocked. bruh. devs please for the love of god update the game so this softlock cant happen

Upon defeating the final boss and resetting all of the doors, having to open them and re-fight the bishops, that of course is when Midas starts appearing once or twice to steal your gold. It's when you reach Silk Cradle that he should appear one last time, and you should be allowed to attack him. But yeah, it's kind of a one-time thing, unless the developers make a patch that makes him just continue to appear until you realize you can attack him.

I'm afraid so. You might have to start a second run purely for that achievement, but otherwise we can simply hope the developers make the change so that he keeps appearing until you get your gold back.
