furthermore, if you play this game on PC should you use either an Xbox controller or playstation controller (Xbox would be optimal). nintendo switch controllers are not supposed to get used on PC´s.
i mean, i know its possible but no dev so far took nintendo switch controllers into account since they have aswell a diffent signal too (aka you need to do certain stuff that the PC even see´s the nintendo switch controller properly and even then is it not always working like it should). Y and X are swapped around on xbox and switch controller. the game is probably assuming that you use an Xbox controller.
you could say now "see its the games problem" no, its not. you´re not supposed to use a nintendo switch controller on PC. it was never intended by nintendo that it works.
Edit: A and B are also swapped on nintendo switch. My point was, I am used to seeing all 4 face buttons messed up, but not just X and Y. And steam has an option to have it so games that display Xbox buttons only still show the correct glyphs. As my switch controllers's A button reads as a Xbox A button to steam. And whatnot.
and to add to this
this game is not the only game which does this. literarly every other game which expects you to use an Xbox controller literarly has that problem (like elden ring or the dark soul´s games) so, sorry but, it isnt the only game on steam which does this.
so, stop playing your pirated version with a nintendo switch controller.
again, everygame does this since the switch controllers should technicly not work on PC but peoples found their ways anyways. so, i say again, get an Xbox controller or, get used to it (which you should since you say that you play all your games with the switch controller and all games having the same issue).
You didn't even read my initial point.
Edit: The game clearly recognizes it as a switch pro controller as well. It even tells me to press Plus and Minus instead of start and select. And ZR instead of RT. And that makes sense as Cult of the Lamb is on the switch as well.
you should expect that. you can not negate that argument. if you want to play cult of the lamb properly with a nintendo switch controller have you 2 options.
the first one is:
buy the game on nintendo switch. tadaaaaa, you can play it on your switch without issues.
and the 2nd one is:
swap the buttons via the intigrated settings, problem solved.
now will you problably come with "but it has a switch release, why is it not working"... well, i explained that atleast 2 times already. switch controllers are not supposed to get used on your PC. i dont know why you dont understand that. you cant blame the devs either for it because they probably never expected (since they shouldnt get used on PC) that someone uses a nintendo switch controller on PC.
all i can say at the end is, sorry that i called you a pirate, that was a mistake on my end. everything else is correct though. nintendo switch controllers are not for use on PC. ya need to do all kinds of shinanigens that a switch controller works on PC. seems like you need to deal with it if you plan to continue with the switch controller UNLESS the devs add a nintendo switch controller detection ... which i doubt will happen. PC´s on their own have problems to detect said controller properly.
and now made i you probably furious but am done, bye o_o.
you should´ve understood it by now.
