This has been the only way I have found to fix the issue. I have seen a post somewhere that only shows to delete one of the files in the save folder but I found that does not work you will have to delete all files and restart the game.
First though:
Go to the cog wheel on the game in Steam and go to
Properties > General > and turn off Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud etc
Once you do that go to your App Data folder which should be in your C drive so
C: Drive> Users > [Username] >App Data > Local Low >Massive Monster > Cult Of The Lamb > Saves
(Should look something like this once you have a full address bar. Of course username would be whatever yours would be)
C:\Users\[username\AppData\LocalLow\Massive Monster\Cult Of The Lamb\saves
If you DON'T see the App Data folder. Search for File Explorer Options in the task bar and follow these steps
View Tab> Hidden Files and folders > Show hidden files, folders and drives >Click Apply
Once you do that go back and check and then delete ALL files in the 'saves' folder
Hope this finds you well!
Otherwise, you can email me your player.log file, and mm.log file and we can investigate. Can't speak for the above as to whether that would fix it, but if you decide to try that and it does, let me know!
