followers sleep on floor instead of beds

I have them assigned to beds, but sometimes they sleep on the floor. does that affect their mood at all? and how could I fix this if it does?

I had this happen as well. It didn't seem to have any negative effect, though i did find it annoying. If it's the same follower every time I found reassigning their bed worked to get it to stop. For whatever reason they don't seem to do it anymore, maybe because I no longer recruit new followers. I'm not sure though.

Either this is the very old behavior where followers don't bother walking to bed or it's because a disciple sees someone on a nicer bed than them.

I have this happen every now and then. I don't have an explanation for it. At the same time, they don't seem to complain at me, unless I wake them up. I honestly think they could keep this as a feature if you were allowed to carry an asleep follower into bed.

I think the consequence of followers sleeping on the ground instead of in a bed happens the following morning because the Exhaustion status effect comes to mind here.

I don't know in what situations this is intentional and what situations its a bug. If followers are exhausted enough then they can just start sleeping wherever they are standing. It seems like you have to wake them up and tell them to go to bed twice but they will usually go to their shelter.

I did have a case where, when I hatched my first egg, the baby couldn't find a bed (got a quest to build a bed) and then for some time after that followers were not claiming unused shelters if they didn't have one. So I could have like 5 empty shelters and a new follower would never claim one unless manually assigned.

Something seems a little glitchy with beds and bed claiming because I don't think they'll ever claim a bed in those 3 bed shelters.
