Can't get a golden egg

I have a self-imposed challenge of getting Shamura and another one of my followers called Peter to produce a golden egg. I've been making them mate pretty much every in-game day for around 7 total hours but I've only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ normal eggs.

Is my game bugged? Is there anything that's preventing me from getting a golden egg from these two? or Am I just being extremely unlucky?

Some clarifications:
Peter's traits are coprofiliac and strong constitution.
Shamura's traits are lustful, sickly and hot tempered.
Both are max level.
I have all the golden egg exclusive follower forms.
Something weird is that Shamura is Peter's enemy but Peter is not Shamura's enemy
(basically when I choose Peter first the chances of success are lowered but not the other way around).

Golden Eggs are completely chance-based
Tho' it never hurt to have Lustful trait, to raise the breeding chance, but that is not effect the RNG
If two become friends or (very) rarely lovers, that also raises the breeding %, but not the RNG
It is worth to activate the Rite of Lust, that too rasies the breeding chance - I like to think it also raises the golden egg chance too, because so far I only recieved golden egg during the Rite of Lust duration, but that is probably a coincidence ^^
Sad to say, you are simply unlucky

I don't really have any issues with the success rates, either the golden egg RNG (the RNG was pretty decent with other followers before I started with these two ) or some other factor which I'm not aware of is messing me up.

Also, not sure how rare are followers being lovers for you but for me pretty much half of my cult are lovers (even some siblings and parents and children which I don't think it's intended ).

I know I'm very late to the conversation but, just to help out understand if you haven't already, or to help any further ones that ended up here:
You can't get golden eggs from unic followers, such as Shamura and the other bishops, TOWW, Sozo, Baal, Aym, etc. Not only that, but their egg will also born an "abomination", wich is a ugly af looking follower, and can't change it, not even if you re-indoctrinate him, he will always be ugly. However if you are doing it for the traits, know that you can breed this abomination with another non-unic follower and he can have a normal child (even golden eggs) to pass his traits to. So if you really want that bloodline of Shamura only the grandson will be pretty and with 4 good traits (golden egg). Or you can settle with the ugly looking with 2 traits (normal/white egg).
