"hugely valuable" is a very strong expression

Especially after you fully upgraded your Temple, that is the only thing that requires Sin in "huge" quantity

Rite of Lust, Glutony (old followers, jerk followers, anyone you just bought or recrutied) drum circle, drinkhouse (just keep it closed and order your follower you just brought from Helob to drink poop juice, 2 is usually enough for a Sin - for max 10 gold you spent that sucker, you can squezze out 3 Sin, then it is damned, who cares, beat it in the crusade and gain an extra one sin, indoctrinate-repeat) confessional are both are source of guaranteed Sin

You will swim in Sin even if you establish a breeding farm for yolk and search for golden eggs - since the doctrine make sure the when the egg hatches you gain back the sin you spent on the mating (lustful, rite of lust and compatible follower is well above 90%, 100% even)

Sin is not something hard to get or awfully valuable

Sin is incredibly easy to come by and clearly the feature was meant to be a more 'on occasion' and not being crazy and redoing up 20+ followers constantly. Normally shouldn't have to do that unless you're a bit.. off. Anyway. Why poke around if you only want to critique the game in such a rude fashion? Ah, nevermind. Insanity is the answer. If you don't mind waiting awhile to change a follower, you can always do it for "free" by getting said follower damned and then rescuing them
