Where did the seeds gone?
So, I have encountered a very strange bug
Or at least I think it is a bug
I only use one Farm
My farm is a 30 plot farm, 30 plot around the barn (I know, Farmer Station II., but I calls it a Barn. It is a barn. I'm willing to die on that hill!) - from the 32 plot around the barn, one is for the scarecrow II., one is for a decoration, I only use 30 plots (left and rigtht "outside" 1-1 windmill, but since they are not "inside" the 32 grid, they dont't really matter just to get the whole picture )
So I only use 30 plots because the Fertiliser Silo and the Seed Silo holds 15 seeds/fertilizer
Neatly one Fertiliser Silo and one Seed Silo on the left side, one Fertiliser Silo and one Seed Silo on the right side.
In theory, everything should be fine, a well oiled machine
But for some strange reason while the worker asigned to farm works and uses up all the 30 seeds and 30 fertilizers it only plants 28 plot or sometimes only 26
2-4 plot is always empty but the seeds and fertilizer are gone fully
It can't be the birds, because of the scarecrow, so... Where did the seeds and fertilizer gone?
Anyone else encountered such thing?

Yup. Workers get distracted/switch off.. seems like whatever they are holding is lost. So recaling them for rituals, interupting via talking etc sometimes results in this too. My guess is its an AI issues they devs see, but don't want to destroy their sanity to fix.. so think of it as a trade off of automatic resources. Later game its trivial as you'll have enough gold to stockpile seeds and forget about it forever.

Wow that's terrible I didn't even notice this was a thing. They really need to fix that.

How long has this been a known issue?

Iv'e been looking into this for weeks. Finally got fed up, did some tests to confirm the issue is consistent and replicable... and ran one last check to see if anyone else had already made a post on this issue, only to find myself here.

...was starting to think the issue was on my end or I was just going crazy.

Why aren't more people complaining? This is a huge annoyance. I'm constantly losing seeds because I *dared* to try and actually take care of my cult. There are so many friggin' things that can interrupt cultists that I'm actually losing more seeds to my little dudes getting distracted than I am to the standard ~20% seed loss on harvest... only these seeds aren't at least giving me the crops back.

At this rate, I'll have to babysit my farmers - which almost completely defeats the point of a silo to begin with.

Not to mention, it seems like a really easy fix? I can think of at least three separate ways of fixing the issue, some of which might result is the occasional seed dupe... but it would be less frequent and less frustrating than the seed loss - and honestly, intentionally triggering the dupe would probably take more time and effort than just going on a quick crusade and buying some more seeds...

PS: Sorry for the rant, but like I said, I've been looking into this for almost a month - and the issue looks to have been around since launch, so I'm kinda out of patience at this point. I mean, seriously? There was a whole patch with cult independence during crusades being its whole deal, and they didn't think to fix this?

Hello! If you could please report this in the pause menu so the programmers can get all the info they need to look into it, that would be immensely helpful

Sorry for snapping, been a rough week and this was kinda the straw that broke the camel's back.
Love the game, by the way. It's fun as hell.

I can't talk for others, but i tend to focus more on softlocks or very much not operating properly ala missionary issues/damned followers of which I've tossed reports on via ingame.

The seed thing nly bugged me a lil in the beginning but after a bit I just had so.many.seeds I was never hurting for any specific food. I play on Normal though, perhaps the drainage is more noticeable on Hard+ because they do require more food.

Its also hard to catch it. It goes by so easily unnoticed, as proven, that it just doesn't seem like a thing to catch most of the time to send a report immediately. If the devs wanna see whats up, simply just play a later-stage game and watch the farmers slowly waste seeds by wandering off/switching shifts/talking to them which makes them go off somewhere else a lot of the time..Its pretty easy to see happening.
