Quite unfortunate that you can get locked out of the "True Love Found" achievement
The descriptions of the Dark and Light necklaces do mention "Knowledge is gained through sacrifice" implying you need a follower to be sacrificed with the necklace on. I did not know that if you happen to sacrifice them through the doors, or through the midas area, it does not count and you lose the necklaces forever. I was expecting them to be available for grabs again from the mystic seller, but apparently it's only a one and done thing.

So yeah just a warning for anyone hunting for all the achievements, as you can permanently lose an item needed for it, requiring you to do a new run. Would be nice if a future patch would make that mistake a bit more lenient via being available again on the mystic seller if you happen to lose them, unless of course i'm missing something and there's another way to get them back. :fomtlaugh:

This is where a bit of research would have gone a long way because this was discovered to have been a thing when the Relics update dropped.

I mean given that i have played the game mostly blind, i can't say i would've been aware of this. I would assume this would've been a potential issue to anyone playing it blind.

Even if it's a blind playthrough, the question might have been in the back of your head, in my humble opinion should that feeling come up it's a good idea to look up your question before your finding out the hard way.

Naah given that i've been conditioned to know i can get multiple copies of every necklace throughout my run, and the fact that i couldn't know only one such necklace can exist, given that "sacrificing" implied reward and i assume a repeated reward of items or something not related to a one-time quest, paired with the notion that there can be people like me who can be cheeky where instead of using bone resources for sacrifice, they would've been allured to experiment around and do it free at a door or something, i cannot really say that an apprehensive feeling of questioning a possible prospect of permanently getting locked out of a quest was something to be had, at least in my case :bombsweat:

It's not too much of a biggie i guess, won't take too long on a new run to reach that point now that i know. Was mostly thinking that a safeguard or two could've been added to that, like warning you or preventing followers with Light/Dark Necklaces to be sacrificed on doors/fox/midas, since i'm sure other people would entertain doing what i did. :beatmeat:

Thanks for your time though! Felt like opening a discussion like this for awareness since i did search for things like "Dark Necklace", "Light Necklace" or "True Love Found" in this discussion board and i haven't seen much talk about this, at least here.
