IS THERE A WAY TO RECOVER A DELETED SAVE FILE

I just accidentally deleted a save file because while typing on discord it was still tracking my movements with any keys i pressed (e.g. WASD and E) while typing i accidentally deleted the save file i was 60+ hours into with tons of really personal followers, please tell me if there is a way to recover it

If the file got properly deleted (not put into the recycling bin) then that makes things difficult. But if you are using a hard drive and not a ssd then the file still exists it just doesn't have the markers your computer looks for when looking for files.

There are data recovery tools out there that can find the data and mark it again. I don't know of any off the top of my head but I am sure a Google search would find a couple.

The important thing to note is that is that any new file has the potential to write over top of the now unmarked save file so if you do download a data recovery tool it would be best to install it directly to a flash drive
