Follower ages

Most of my followers usually become old around the 40s and 50s, however I was some followers that are a exception. For example I have one that just became 91 and another who just became 68, and neither of them have become "old" yet. Why is this? Not that I'm complaining, I like my followers a lot and I am perfectly happy with them not dying lol, but still why is it like this?

I havent played that long on steam, but on switch, some of my followers got old age as young as 35, and others got all the way to, idk, 60 with no necklaces at all. It's a weirdly broad range.

If we are already speaking about the age of the followers:
How is the aging of the bishops as followers? In my first save they are not getting into old age, in my second save they got old and died of it.
The One who waits didn't die of old age in any of my saves. :)

Narinder SPECIFICALLY has the immortal trait. He can never reach old age on ANY save file.
