What is the maximum number of followers you have had?

To preface: I have not unlocked the resurrection ritual.

The maximum number of followers I have had is 22. Even with this, the temple does not seem to have any more space for more during sermons.

What about you guys?

lol, i figured i would be able to do it next go round *kinda like with the tarot cards* but, i guess i know now, so now i gotta keep gaining followers with ♥♥♥♥ traits XD....damn i miss Trebre and Barbatos......

You know, I just went to New Save in the menu and started a new game. The old one is still there but now I can redo everything.

i think ive got 21 or 22 followers, bigger cults do have its drawbacks like constantly needing more food and meals but it also means youve got more room to pick better followers for your demons on crusades.
another plus point, its like sheer mindfulness if you experience any form of condition or disability-its a great distraction from what ever yyour reality is (which i suppose is why folks get into cults in the first place).

I had like 38 and then I got tired of getting more... All I had left to do was no-hit the bosses and do purgatory, I thought "what for?"

100, they just bunched up in that final slot, and during rituals you'd have to wait for each one to bow their head before they got into position, but the circle didn't overlap, to the devs credit.

the max i had was 45, similarly they all morphed into each other in the temple. now i keep it at around 15-20, but will sometimes get up to 30 if i need the followers
