Less rare fishes if you enable the auto fishing?

Whoever told you that is probably thinking the RNG of the fish is somehow tied to that setting, anyone in this community can tell you that's NOT the case.

Plus if you want to have more fish, take the ritual that increases your catch amount because due to the RNG being the way it is at the moment, that's the only way to complete a certain quest related to fishing.

I've gotten many different kinds of fish before and after that neat little update. The auto fish doesn't change the RNG at all or that I have noticed. ^_^

It's exactly the same if auto-fishing is on. Spawn rates aren't connected to the auto-fishing setting.

Yeah, fishing definitely has RNG issues, should be patched for Relics of the Old Faith. Some players end up having to fish for like 10 hours to get everything. :lp_buddy:

Should be solved soon!
