Still doesn't change that things can still be added to the game that can change how things play out. People will always like to have another option in-game when it comes to whether the sacrifice (the weaker option) was actually good enough or whether doing something else no matter how much higher the difficulty curb is better (lets be honest the wolf isn't going to be as anywhere as difficult as the final boss). Lets also not stop and think turning the wolf's Skull into an artifact for the Cult and his flesh into the Lamb's Robe wouldn't be a awesome idea (the wolf follower skin would be a given as a basic reward gained just for the sacrifice but getting all 3 for going fully the harder route).
You seem to forget that Narinder is the more powerful one here so far. Able to collect the whole cult before the final fight where as the fox shows caution towards the lamb and tries to beguile the lamb for a sacrifice (the kills the fox has done are to lesser beings that were alone) not demands the sacrifice. There is also the fact he only interacts with the lamb in darkened spots (meaning if during the fight the area brightened up [be it getting allies to do something outside the fighting area] would weaken the fox). If we are going to use quotes then here is one "Even Gods can die". Lets also note Ratau may also have quite the knowledge on the Fox and could provide assistance as will in other ways then combat.
If your going to continue with how dangerous the fox is then give links that prove your statement. I couldn't find much through googling that would support your words besides being an more then he appears (Which is why I called him a wolf [to be more specifics a wolf hidden in a fox body because it follows a more hardcore term then a wolf in sheep clothing]).
You still have not shown any source to prove your statement. What I have said can be proven with actual gameplay and google searches. If you can't actually prove it then your just raising the Fox's danger level in your own eyes and for the Bishops and Narinder not to take him out could just be the same for how they viewed the other cults on the Island (they just didn't care or didn't have enough reason to perceive em as threats).
Or maybe you can fight Fox after sacrificing him and that brings him back?
