I would love to fight The Fox
Please consider letting us fight Teeth in the Darkness (Fox), I'd love to win my adopted rat dad back. I understand the game pushes you to be ruthless in places, but usually we get a choice between benevolent and ruthless, except for some parts of the story like being forced to sacrifice ratau or giving followers to Midus. If the devs want to keep it as being to be ruthless to 100% the game, what's more ruthless than double betrayal to get what I want out of the Fox and then beating them up?

Whatever ends up happening the Fox is a cool character and I hope they gets to make another appearance at some point.

Some other ideas for good vs evil choices
- paying Midus a large sum of gold bars vs sacrificing followers
- giving over expensive dishes to the cook vs beating up his... snail wife?
- refusing the Fox's deal and fighting them for their rewards at the end vs sacrificing followers

You are aware Fox didn't have to physically touch Ratau to pull them into that portal right? Plus there's no exact time frame for how long this character has even been alive, for all we know this particular character has been around far longer than the Bishops themselves have been in power and have probably done similar deals not just with them as they do with you but also others as well.

I never said anything about physically touching Ratau? So i'mm unsure of your point there. Also not sure why all of the rest makes him impossible to have as a boss fight? Unless you are just commenting on potential lore. Either way I would live to see their character explored more.

Would honestly love to see something like this! I adore Ratau and it sucked so bad having to sacrifice him to 100% the game :( I feel like the Fox could make a really interesting mini-boss, too!

More of pointing out that because of the unknown origin of this character they're likely more powerful than you, the Bishops and even Narinder since any followers you sacrifice to Fox are permanently gone meaning they don't even get sent to Narinder after they pass. A fight with Fox would probably just be a one-sided battle and Fox doesn't even seem to be the type of character after getting what they wanted, they become content with themselves and don't wish to be found but their dialog after your final deal might hint that this character even if Lamb didn't become the new god of death they probably would have turned into the Fox or became something like the Fox as they mention seeing themselves within the Lamb before they depart.
"Little Lamb! Truly, a beast after my own heart! While we may seem like different breeds, we are brethren to the bone. And as our bargain has been struck, allow me to make fair return. I give you this: The gift of clarity. You know exactly the kind of creature you are. You should count yourself lucky. Many go their whole miserable lives without ever gleaning such a divine truth. Farewell, Little Lamb. I never thought to meet another like me in this life, and you have proven me wrong. May your kills keep you fed as they have me, and may the Night hold you close."

I think even if they are more powerful at this point, there's no reason we couldn't get to a point where we could fight him if they keep adding in new content. Plus the followers sacrificed to Midas are not able to be resurrected as well, and he was a super whimp. Maybe it could be argued the followers are technically alive in the gold, but being covered in molten gold feels pretty deadly. However if the developers decide to not go this route, I think it would still be cool to have an alternate more benevolent themed quest pop up somehow if you refuse the Fox so you could 100% the game and still keep Ratau and play as a nice God if you wanted.

Well I doubt they would change that outcome very much because before the game was even launched Fox's dialog for the fourth deal was used in an ARG word for word and take a good guess what the answer to the ARG was.
