just got yourself a fan and i buy the game as i see this.
anger me so much when a triple game studio not even have button icons to change.

Because 90% of hte time, ps4 controllers over bluetooth require steam support on. This forces the game into thinking your controller is an xbox controller. Hence why a configurable option is important.
I don't know if you're still dealing with this, but I disabled Steam Input for Cult of the Lamb and boom: DualSense buttons.
Now with new Update start playing with my wife and "disable PS configuration support" worked just fine to switch on PS5 buttons!
