Can someone tell me what is the default max health? I gained half a red heart two times but i have only two red hearts all the time. Of course during a crusade i can gain additional two red hearts with tarot cards but they disappear later. And from what i remember i had more red hearts earlier. Is there some in game action that makes you lose max heath?

There is an opportunity to give (forever) half a heart to a Fox when he asks to feed him followers. But I doubt you've reached that point yet...

The default max health is 4 red hearts but when you use the Glass cannon fleece your fervor power increase but your attack damage with weapons decreases half and your life down 2 red hearts. If you have 2 + 1/2 red hearts then you will have 1 + 1/2 red hearts max.

Difficulty reduces your max health, and hearts earned from tarot cards only last for that crusade.

Thanks a lot. That was it. I must have accidentally increased difficulty while changing some settings.
