Squid not spawning?

Been fishing for 4 in game days, not a single squid in sight. Is this a bug or are the squid spawns just THAT rare?

I believe I heard someone say that the fish RNG is bugged at the moment, if you want to do any fishing wait until you get the ritual that boosts the amount of fish you catch, can get between five and six fish which at the moment is the only way to effectively get the achievement associated with fishing.

Had the same issue. I finally started getting squids after completing the lighthouse questline (and doing the fishing ritual). Idk if the questline had anything to do with it, or if it was just bc of the ritual tho.

I definitely think it's bugged. I fished for days in-game, every time new ones spawned, and didn't get squid or lobster at all. As soon as I unlocked the fish ritual at my temple I got them within 2 or 3 fishing attempts... so if you can't find them but don't have that ritual yet I'd say just wait until you do. There's no time limit on the quest so no worries about missing it completely

Try doing the Ocean Bounty ritual it will make the rare fishes appear much more often

Just save, quit, and load your save to reset the RNG if you don't have Ocean's Bounty ritual. Do not fish for multiple in-game days without reloading, the fish drop table doesn't get re-rolled on day change.

i'm pretty sure mine is still bugged for the squid. soooooo many fishies but no squids :(
