I think a save function is present in the final game right?
So what happens if you die in the full game? you just go back to your cult?
BTW thx dev the game look amazing, I really want to explore more about the cult
and you'll start the run from scratch, or pick up where you lost?
I think that there's a fine balance between being too roguelike and being too stat focused game. For example Ni No Kuni 2 has great base building but because the content is too easy the base is not needed for anything besides story progression. Then there's Sakuna of Rice and Ruin where no matter how well you play the action part of the game, it's impossible to win without focusing A LOT on the "base building" part of the game.
well done roguelikes are the best, but there are nearly no well done roguelikes ont he market. i havent played the demo but if this game is similar to hades, it will be a masterpiece. i really hope the devs do it right with loosing stuff when playing BUT also getting permanent stuff to upgrade your skills/perks etc. so you get better with each run even if you die. if its death and you lose everything without exception then this will be the worst and will destroy the game for me personally.
i'm hoping this game will be as well made as hades or vampire survivors. if they nail the balance this game will make them all millionaires irl, no doubt about that :D
The weapon stats increase as you progress as well.
