I've been able to get above 1000% damage. Let me tell you, the dopamine of knowing I got good is just fantastic, and I love the laser focus I get when something almost hits me but I dodge at the last second. Or the agony when I dodge wrong and lose all that progress. Restricting it to only 200% seems a bit batty-nuggets, compared to the downside.
Honestly though, all of the fleeces seem a bit... subpar? Get a diseased heart for every tarot you draw, but lose everything if you die, and can only hold one disease heart at once? turn your red hearts that can be replenished into blue hearts? half health and melee damage to increase curse damage/efficiency? none of them felt great to use except for the golden fleece.
For the effort and cost you have to put in to get them, I feel like they should be at least equally rewarding as the abilities you get from the heretic hearts. Other than 100% completion, I don't really feel motivated to unlock any of the fleeces anymore, now that the golden one has been nerfed.
