it has some very frustrating bugs and some crucial features missing that it makes it painful to use. i don't even know how original Ritual mappers made so many good maps with this rough tool. Kinda feel sorry for them and amazed of their patience at the same time, lol.
i simply wish there was a way to use Trenchbroom instead, just to block out the geometry, then convert it into required format, open it up in SinEd, do all the rest that's needed, and finally compile it into a launchable map... afaik it's not possible.
