- The cooking is not complex as cooking simulator game. It more like a mini game.
- You can't jump
- You can't save during the game, the only way to save the game progress is go back to character bed. There is no "Save and Exit"
- Game still have some graphic bugs, like the background cut-scene doesn't fit with the screen if you play the game in 16:9
one cooking game i did not like was eat, cook, delicious
You have a lot of different ingredients: raw and prepared and you make a dish out of 3 of them. Each ingredient can also interact differently with the plate like if you put in rice first and then a ghostato for instance you get a boost to one of the 3 attributes.
Next to that you will also have the ability to make sauces which will either add to a specific attribute or influence the likes and dislikes of the judge in a cooking contest.
So in that regard aroma is also important as that decides which dish the judge will taste first. Aroma is a timing challenge as when to stir to get those attribute points, the longer you wait the more aroma will be generated but you will run the risk of the attribute bubble to burst and get lost without adding it to the dish.
So after a while even if it is a mini game the cooking part is really well thought out and you get a lot of choices to make different dishes and the order of ingredients is playing a big role in that.
The SuperNiceGuy refunnded the game after only 0.6 hours of play which is barely enough to make to the first boss fight to open up the game with your own restaurant etc. But then again I think there are people that like too bunny hop everywhere and want a jump even if it is just useless.
Though have too admit the no saving everywhere and only on sleeping can be annoying. Even if it is widespread in these farming/life sims like Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons etc.
Sorry to hijack, but Ydyp do you know how to get a fishing rod? Does it open up later in game, I saw the fish and tackle place on the docks but it's not accessible?
I was originally put off when I think one of the devs said it could be quite intimidating but this has been on my watchlist for a long time, I am glad I took the risk (I could always get a refund if I didn't enjoy it right) its a fantastic game, the cooking is fun, its not as precise as Cooking Simulator, but saying that it is deep enough for a game like this, As I said this should be put alongside other farming based simulators like Stardew Valley but with the emphasis more on cooking of course.
So yeah if you like games like Stardew Valley and the likes you will love this.
