First, I would like to say that this is really a great game. I really like all aspects of it, except for fishing. I cannot catch any fish. I can't move forward in quests, because most of the recipes need fish in order to bring up the value needed to win. Why does it have to be so hard. There is enough challenge in the game in just getting the right recipes, keeping inventory stocked. feeding cows, taking care of the bird. If I had known that fishing was a main point of concern for this game, would have never bought it. Is there any way that we can just buy what we need?

Fishing did take me a bit to get used to and even then I would like it to become easier the more you do it. Level up perhaps? Anyways, I play on ps4 so my controls may differ from yours but whatever key it tells you to press you hold that down to move it to the left and let go to go back to the right and tap it to kinda keep it in place. You really have to play with it but I wish you the best! I’m really enjoying this game as well! Happy cooking!

I agree, leveling up the rod or as you level in cooking could be good ways to actually make fishing a little better. Thanks for responding, appreciate it.

i actually love the fishing personally so i have some tips - i use keyboard so i use left mouse button to reel in stuff.. if the bar is on the left side of the screen, have ur arrow on the right side of the blue bar so you are ready when it goes the other direction.. same for the other side. so if its far right have ur arrow over the left side of the blue bar. just tap whatever button dont hold too much unless it speeds the other way. if all else fails some fish can be straight up bought from the fisherman after you catch it. not all of them though. i recommend practicing with lower level bait such as seaweed and crabs. practice :) im sure you can do it!
