Stuck in the Boreal Forest

I'm quite far into the game (I'm guessing) and now I'm completely stuck inside the Boreal Forest. This is the second time I've been to the area, but this time I can't progress past a small stretch of the forest, nor can I return to the mill. There's nothing I can access that will warp me back to any other areas either. I tried reloading the last autosave, but it placed me much earlier in the game and with absolutely no items in my inventory. The screen is also largely obscured by huge pipes in the foreground of the mill that weren't there in my earlier playthrough. I hope this can be fixed and isn't a game breaking bug.

I had to restart my game from the beginning because the only save file left was the one where I got stuck in the forest and I was still unable to get out. Now I'm stuck in the bathroom of Nicole's house. The music plays and Sam's feet look like they're walking, but I can't move, interact with anything, or even pull up the main menu in order to reload my last save.

I've had the exact issue. I got through the forest (with the watchers) then got stuck exactly as you described in the bathroom with Nicole. But, when I reloaded, all my saves were for the forest with no watchers. Note: itch.io version 1.008.

ended up revisiting forest (no watchers) through the mill just while looking around and got stuck there too, couldnt seem to reach a warp anywhere and the mirror was cracked in here so was stuck.

Yep, I've run into this issue multiple times. Reloading to an earlier save is the only way I've fixed it.

Sorry to hear you are having this issue with Nicole in her trailer. I am actively working on trying to recreate this bug to get it patched out. Just released a build today that should help with the save/load and autosave issues.

Also got stuck in the forest. Pressing start paused the game but did not bring up menu.
