Potatoes, seeds and withered plants

So okay, I screwed up with my power management and my plants are withered. Basically no problem because I just planted some new ones.

Nevertheless some questions came into my mind that where discussed similarly in other threads but had no real or controversal conclusions:

1. Is there an easier way of transferring the plants from the incubator to the hydroponic shelf instead of just one by one everytime? That's somehow annoying.

2. What to do with withered plants in the current status of the game? I know that there's going to be some kind of composter in the future. But right now I couldn't even find a wastebox. So I just threw them out (again one by one) of my HAB and now they are outside all over the place.

3. Is there currently a way to produce seeds for the planting tool or the seed magazine? Like out of other plants or potatoes themselves maybe?

@1 yes - a special tool for this might become available even in one of the next updates :)
@2 we'll probably add some device to store them meanwhile. In the full version the composter is inside the greenhouse, but here we don't have a greenhouse so nowhere to put it yet :)
@3 just like point @2 - the seed producing device is also part of greenhouse in the full game.

Since yesterday I've started a new game with the current version v0.44.2.

In the changelog I found following info:
-Added new tool: small plant crate in the Hab for replanting

What is that, what exactly is it's purpose and where can I find it? Do I need to build it?
I'm just asking because I haven't found any additional tool in my inventory yet nor a way to construct something like that.

The plant crate is on the floor to the right beside the incubator. Pick it up and put it in a hot slot to use it. Allows you to transfer 8 plants at a time.

Well, either I'm too blind, stupid, it's a bug or a combination of the forementioned, but I can't find that plant crate anywhere...

You have to pick it up early in the game, not sure exactly when, may be in the first savegame you do, but it vanishes! What I know for sure is that if you pick it up before saving a game you will find it on the floor, inside the habitat, near hydroponics

Thanks guys, that did the job!
Of course I started a new game with the 0.44.2 update as recommended by the devs in the first place.
But obviously I've missed out the crate the first time I came across and it seemed to have disappeared after that.
Well, now I started once more from scratch and now it's there.
So definitly a bug!
