I can see that you still didn't do the "Print parts required to build battery device" task. That means you only have 1 battery pack and that is not enough to survive the night. Without electricity during the night the base is cold and dark - that's why your plants wither.
Make sure to build another battery pack and connect 2 of them in series like this:
Power Splitter -> Battery -> Battery -> HQ Building
if you do this early during the day then both batteries will charge to help you survive the night
No, your'r wrong i have soon two batteries , setted the transformer at 92 % for the first batterie.
then for the first to the second batterie, i put 60kw and then from the second batterie to the HQ , i put 40 kw in output . on the hq display, i have more than 180 kw in stock and therefore my plants don't grow over 58,02 %
Probably there's something wrong with your power setup still. Maybe your batteries don't have enough time to charge. I recommend set 180kW output on the first battery so you will direct more power to the second one. This way the second battery will charge and also it should transfer enough power to the base all the time.
Also: if they are withered they will not stop being withered, you have to plant new ones and this time provide enough power & water all the time.
From 19h it gets dark and then the solar cells do not charge anymore and from 7h you have power again
You also need 2 additional medium sized solar cells and disconnect the small 5kWh solar cells from the grid, they are not very helpful.
As an additional option, build a battery and a medium solar cell, for the shredder
The thing i learned was setting the output too high wastes power. You need to be as close to precise to have power during the entire sandstorm If you aren't using the 3d printer, don't send power to it, charge batteries instead.
Add 2 batteries to the Well and use the original transformer for the power source, using what the Shredder doesn't use. They will charge enough to keep it running all night.
Add 4 Medium solar cells, a transformer and 4 batteries to the base as a dedicated supply. That actually ran out on me before the storm ended because the storm started in the morning before the batteries had a chance to recharge after the night.
I also had 2 medium solar cells to another transformer and 2 batteries to provide a dedicated charge point for the Rover too. Another Sabatier and Oxygen tank to provide oxygen for the Rover as well. Now, you have a way to keep the Rover topped up with power and Oxygen for the next days work.
I survived 2 dust storms, have 100% O2 in the base and got 3 crops of potatoes with that setup, even though the batteries tend to deplete before the dust storm ends. If it doesn't power down for too long, the potato crop will still survive. I even had enough O2 in the tank outside to completely refill the base straight after I fixed the base when the storm punctured a few places and left me with no O2.
You could add another 2 batteries to the base, chain another transformer and 3 medium solar cells to them to increase batttery capacity and charge rate, that's my next mission.
We really need a fridge to put the potatoes in for the full game, I have so many, my inventory only has a few spaces left and they will go off if I put them in a locker or keep them in my inventory. 36 potatoes in each crop of 12 plants. I still have one crop I have not harvested yet, (not sure if they will go off or not if I leave them there), and another crop in the incubator, ready to transfer. I presume we will have a means to make more seeds from them in the full game, (maybe leaving them too long after harvest time will make them go to seed like in real life).
