General Question - Story / Ending / Lovecraftian

Greetings - just wanted to inquire before possibly playing the game about the ending. I am generally not a big fan of 'most' Lovecraftian horror games when they end in dread / failure / death of the protagonist, etc. so I try to do a little homework upfront as sometimes it's best to just not spend the time on a game in such circumstances to avoid disappointment.

So just wanted to ask is this one of those types of games or is it possible to get a 'good' ending? Not looking for specific spoilers, but a yes or a no on whether it has one of these 'dread' style endings would be sufficient.

To me, a good ending would be something akin to the MC surviving with a relatively positive ending for those around (beating the bad guy, etc.). A bad ending would be the MC dying / sacrificing themselves, or similar.

Yes, "bad endings" are not easy to trigger and are optional
