The sound design in this game is amazing. Credit to the team behind that. It really enhances the whole experience.
The sound design in this game really stood out to me. Just the complexity of some of the sounds and how they all really feel appropriate to the locations and atmosphere.

Opening a gate and you can hear the springs inside the lock, or the way some of the different floor surfaces react to your character.

I know other games do all this but something about the work in this game stood out to me and it all worked well with the amazing visuals to really enhance the atmosphere of the game.

Agreed, I was just thinking this last night. The sounds just "sound" right.

I really like the sounds too, however I dunno if it's a bug or just my PC but sometimes when there's a lot of sounds going on or a loud one it starts clipping and there's like popup/distortion. Anyone else get that?

I do but not in this game actually haha.
I get it in others though but just assumed it was something up with my wireless headphones.

Agreed. The first time I played it and the door closed on its own, damn, what a feeling. It reminded me of the first Alone in the dark (the sound was crap with the speaker back then, but I had the same creepy feeling).

Don't forget the soundtrack. It's basically Voodoo Jazz -- quite a change in pace to your typically horror game. Or game in general. It hits the right notes in the more spooky sections too though. Atmosphere and audiovisual design are clearly the game's strenghts.

I also dig that characters would use their hands to lean on the Piazza balcony. Depending on how you place them, they'd either use both of them. Or indeed but one. Just a small touch, quite literally, hah. But neat.

Yes! The soundtrack was fantastic as well and really helped underline the time period.

That hand detail is really nice!

Hopefully they add the soundtrack to Spotify.

The way you could hit bobbles and chains hanging down and every little thing made its own specific noise was pretty impressive. A shame the game was a bit uneven when it came to QA and stuttering, though.
