regarding the overall mocap-quality, i for one was happy with it. at least i didn't notice anything looking weird or cheap. but i guess that highly depends on one's personal standards and expectations.
for his voice work i think he did outstandingly well across the entire emotional spectrum edward goes through during the story - culminating in his secret ending, which is just an absolute blast. you can tell he really must've enjoyed recording those lines. :D
if anything doesn't do the game justice, it's probably the trailers, promoting this game more as some sort of 3rd-person-shooter than what it actually is: an adventure game focused on exploration, puzzles, dialogue, lore and characters - with occasional bits of janky combat.
for me the game turned out to be extremely different from what i expected - for the better. it kinda gave me some 'alice madness returns' vibes. if you're looking for something like resident evil (4-8) or dead space, this is not it.
