Sleazy DLC
Selling commentary, a couple skins, and filters as DLC (separate DLC no less!) c'mon guys? Pretty low, but I guess it's par for the course these days. Sad to see it coming from Double As and Indies now as well. Guess I'll just hope I was some wanker from Embracer that insisted this crap be shoved in there and not that developers have become this soulless.
Que corpo defenders in 3.. 2..

I personally can't see the value in it.

All this DLC content should be unlockable after finishing the game. It's an absolute brazen display of greed

This. Hell, some reviewers even said that this stuff was unlockable. I assume they were given a Deluxe Edition of the game and didn't know it was paid DLC.

Like, I don't mind buying DLC for games I like, but at least throw a bone and throw in SOME unlockables for free. RE2 had a bunch of DLC only costumes, but you still unlock classic costumes and infinite weapons.

I bought the game, didn't I? On PS5, but I can clearly afford it.
Not sure why you defend LESS content.
Also, Tetris DID give out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It's the principle, not the price.

I realy like the game, but 60€ game with those 5 different buy dlc is just showing middle finger to customers....
Tex Murphy Mar 21, 2024 @ 9:57am
I agree. The only acceptable launch DLC is a soundtrack and artbook. The Vintage Horror Filter Pack and the Derceto 1992 Costume Pack is just sleazy cosmetic garbage.

The thing is that after looking at the dlc's i don't feel any fomo about not buying any of them. There are too much game these days that hides important features behind dlc.

I prefer a full price game that is full featured than a less expensive game that hides it's real price behind dlc.
Yeah all this could have been unlockable for a new playthrough. But I like the fact that it's just bonus content that you can cherry pick according to your taste without missing anything important from the game. Unlockable would be better than dlc, but I'll take any good step in the right direction.

That said, it's a bit sad to be happy to get a full game without having to buy dlcs...

I would never play the 1992 costume, I can just boot the original games and you can bet that mods will come for better stuff. In my experience most filters are a bother and after trying them I switch them off real fast.
The commentary would be mildly interesting but would bore me halfway. The rest is standard fluff that I care even less about.

Yeah, playing as the blocky 1992 characters is just a gimmick that would only be amusing for 5 minutes. They aesthetically don't fit this new game's world at all.

My point exactly: If anything, those dlc feels like donations dlc, you like the game, you can give a little extra to the studio in exchange for a gimmick.
