Compared to others of the survival horror genre, Alone in the Dark was sadly pretty niche, which sucks since it was more or less the grandfather of them all.
October's release schedule is stupidly stacked also, I might be taking some PTO just to catch up
and that won't change until release.
In the FAQ on the Steam page they expilicitly state, that they won't offer Pre-Order for PC (Steam and GOG)
I've heard it's the awesome 1992 models too which I kind of wanted
