We’re so excited that Goodbye Volcano High is out now and people are getting to play! We wanted to take a moment to answer some questions!

Quick Notes!
Please make sure your game is fully updated
The game has full mouse and keyboard support but we recommend a controller for optimal experience.
Our main character, Fang, is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

If you have a bug to report, please post it here in Steam with “ [BUG] “ at the front of the post and we will make sure to report it and assist if we can! The more detailed description the better!

What is Goodbye Volcano High about?

Goodbye Volcano High is a story about love, friendship, personal growth, acceptance, and the power of community in the face of disaster. Fang has just figured out what they want to do with their life, and now they've got to find out how to deal with the end of the world, be there for their loved ones, and follow through on their musical dreams before it's too late.

What type of game is Goodbye Volcano High?

Goodbye Volcano High is a cinematic visual novel. Players will have conversations, make choices through dialogue, and guide our main character Fang through a story about love, friendship, and change.

Is this a dating sim?

Goodbye Volcano High is not a dating sim. While there are opportunities in the game to get closer to specific characters, it's not the goal of the story.

Is the game Steam Deck compatible?

While GVH is not verified on the Steam Deck, we can confirm that we've tested it on the Steam Deck and it works great, so go for it!

Are the dialogue choices word-for-word?

As the player, we are acting as Fang’s inner voice! When dialogue options appear, they are not always direct word-for-word choices, more like general vibes of how Fang will react. From sarcastic to sweet, you’ll have the choice of how to respond to the situation but the exact words may vary.

What future updates are you playing for the game? Also I heard it that can't save in the middle of a chapter, like most VNs. Any reasons for this decision?

Any chances of a vinyl record release of the games soundtrack down the line?
I really enjoyed the music in this game and would love to own in on pysical media someday :D

I'm a fan of this game since the playstation presentation and after playing it 2 times already, id like to know if theres any chance of getting a chapter menu to get achievements easily/reload the story from a point without restarting it.

Also are u thinking about ever releasing a game with only the rythm/music mecanic of GBVH? I really loved that part of the gameplay!

Really enjoyed it and have completed twice trying to get various scenes and achievements! is it possible to get all content/photos on one play-through? This is where having saves or chapters would be handy if that's not possible!

Nopes, theres photos that u can only get when u talk with someone at the beach, where u can only talk with 4 out of the 7 in each playthrough.

Hey there! btw, is there any way of getting unbanned on the discord server? XD i joined 2 days ago before going to sleep and when i woke up i was banned. I imagine its because of my profile pic but its just an inside joke. I know u had raids so that probably helped with the decision but im no troll, i just want to discuss aboiut the game and get help with achieemnts since im missing2 hard ones even after my now 5 playthroughs XD I already emailed the support but i didnt get a reply
