This gamer helped me through a dark time in my life. Its so connecting, you emotionally connect with these characters on a level I didn't think was possible. I've never played a visual novel before, but this was beautiful. 1000/10 highly recommend this game.

Gonna be frank, it's not great. It's not terrible either but it was just kinda...bland.

Now, according to my play time, I didn't finish it. I had to look up a play through just because it kinda felt like a choir to play. I know there is a certain fan game about this one out there and even though that is MILES better than this one when it comes to characters, dialogue and story, Imma be fair and leave that game alone and just review this game as is without drawing comparisons to the other.

The style was somewhat weird. I do appreciate dino games, especially hard hitting stories of an asteroid coming down and the characters have to collectively prepare themselves of their oncoming deaths but this wasn't it. The characters looked too "humanoid." The human body with a long dino head looked so off. I figured since it's a furry game (Or scalie, whichever you prefer to call it), it would have to look human but I guess this wasn't for me. The background art is amazing. It very detailed and colorful, honestly pretty fun to look at. Just a shame that the god awful character designs are pasted on there which kinda ruins the look.

the story was all over the place. It wanted us to focus on the asteroid coming in to kill the characters but however it felt like it wanted us to focus more on the characters band, the secret (but also creepy) love interest and the totally not DnD campaign. It's like the whole situation of them getting killed in a matter of a few days felt like it was pushed to the side to focus on the other meaningless stuff until the very end where NOW the asteroid thing is suddenly a big deal again. I mean, even the side characters treated it as like it wasn't a big deal. Shouldn't there be more moments where the characters must come to terms with the end of the world approaching and they are putting their friends and loved one first, or have more rioting or anything? With all the extra stuff shoved in our faces, the ending where the asteroid comes just felt lifeless (No pun intended).

The characters were not really handles any better either. The main character, Fang, wasn't really all that entertaining nor interesting enough to care. She felt way too bland and her situation with her parent, the band and her friends wasn't handled right, nor did it felt like everything was fixed in the end. There were moments in the game where she was just taking things to a completely different direction and just felt frustrating. Trish felt like such a comic relief character with her bubbly personality, her always-happy grin and her needless obsession with her pet, which is basically the games mascot character. She doesn't really have no interesting qualms to her other than how she is so upbeat and in your face about it. Reid was "Okay," He's basically the "nihilistic" character of the group and he's also the groups stoner but there wasn't much going for him anyways. I liked the little moments where he is shown to be serious and is taking the asteroid impact a lot more heavy hitting than most. The voice actor did pull a good job showing how Reed is clearly taking things too hard. He is probably one of the better characters in the game but he does not compete with characters like him outside of this. Naomi is just creepy. She plays off like a civilized character but, Spoilers, when it's reveled that she was the stalker on Fang's phone, she just went downhill. It's such a chilling way to show interest in the person you like by being anonymous and writing to them about how you're so in love with them without telling them who you are. Fang should've been taken aback by this, it could be a cute girl but it mostly likely could be some middle aged man (or dino in this case) planning to kidnap her or something. Point is, don't talk to strangers, people. And with her freaking out in the end and Fang having to tell her to cool it, thus making it look like FANG is the one with the problem was so aggravating. The rest like Sage, Rose, Stella were okay. Like Trish and Reed, Sage is very bubbly and always positive constantly which makes me gag a little but there were serious moments with him that felt nice and I wished we had more moments with him like that. Stella's my least favorite of the three, she's just one of those "Oh My Gooooood, shut upppppp!" characters. Even though it's green, you could tell she's a blonde. Also, she has not shoes in the game....I don't know why I went off topic and threw that out there but I couldn't resist. Why she has no shoes on and just exposes her bare feet out like a Dan Schneider film is beyond my understanding but, there you go. Rose was by far my favorite. She is one of the more helpful, caring character in the game. She wasn't too sweet to be obnoxious nor was she too serious to be taken bland. plus shes probably one of the few characters that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable looking at, aside from characters with long noses and pointy heads like someone straight out of the Cone heads movie.

The gameplay was fine. it's just like any other quick-timed event games where there's music involved and you have to hit the right buttons. It's basically Guitar Hero but with dinosaurs. I wished there was more to it though, the game would've been better as that kind of game rather than story based. the music was really good and probably the games saving grace. If the music wasn't as good as what we got, I'd give this a much lower score.

the animation was choppy asf. The characters teleporting around, characters doing the EXACT SAME ANIMATION over and over again was really old and cheap, and the facial expressions were nothing to write home about. With a game with as big as a budget as it has, you'd expect more but nope, it's just too lazy.

All in all, the game wasn't good. It's boring and rushed and too all over the place. the Choices don't really lead to anything majorly different and the message was just too "pre-school" for me with it's 'Always caring about your friends and doing the right thing". However, it's not as terrible as everyone says it is. It just could've been better. My rating: 4.5/10

Getting into the game I heard a lot of things about it, some negative honestly. But I knew that I had to play for myself. And Even after 3 playthroughs I'd say it was 100% worth it. So many people try to compare it to snoot game but I'd say it's not alike that much. It is its own game and it is perfect! I mean the soundtrack, the choices, the mini games and everything. I loved it! I love Visual Novel games so much. Heck I'm gonna keep trying to finish 100%. I only have 2 left, so I'm at a 95%. But yeah, it was amazing. Thank you for this game!
