Does a Mutant's Origin Mutagen Affect Enhancements?
I noticed that a mutagen I made to increase resourcefulness did not work the same on two different mutants. Does that mean that the elements a mutant was made from influence how enhancements work?

Does it work like combining ingredients where some cancel out others? If so, it definitely should be made clear in the game (like in the Tips Guide), and on the Enhancement Machine's screen what elements are in the mutant and what elements are from the loaded enhancement mutagen, as well.

Hi,

On standard difficulty, mutant elements should not influence anything. So nothing should cancel each other (on Insane it's a different thing and it's noted in the difficulty description).

How it didn't work the same? Did mutants have different stats afterward?

Cheers!

Yes, I found a mix that upgraded resource and body gathering on one mutant, but upgraded panic, vitality, and stealth on another. I even described the mutagen to know what it did. I cannot remember the first mutant I used it on, but the second I do. That was the one it didn't work as expected on.

The one thing that may be in play is that the various effects stack with basic mutants' elements, so with the elements in the mutagen it stacks with different stats and limbs because it started with different elements. So the whole composition of mutagen will be secondary to the elements and limbs that stack effect with one another.

This is a bit complicated, we will look into the possibilities of materializing this more.

Interesting. So to check if I'm understanding, the mutagen used for the limbs affect things too? Like using different mutagens for limbs actually matters and we shouldn't use random mutagens to make them? Or are you referring to the stats of the limbs shown on the limb-generator's computer?

To the stats of the limbs. The limbs mutagen is not a factor.
