Minor spoilers: any purpose to the rosaries?
I'm currently at the point in the Corrupt Hand of the Church campaign where the Inquisitor has started patrolling the monastery. I've found a couple of rosaries and tried handing them over, and all I get for my efforts every time is an insta-knockout and a shiny new trauma. Is there a point to this, or is it simply a troll a storytelling method to emphasize the fanaticism of this character?

You can use one rosary to craft a quest item. Not sure about other uses tbh.

You receive a cool item from the inquisitor everytime you give him a rosary, even if you get a trauma as well.
What item?

"Estampita de un santo". I don't know how to say it in English. It is a small item that improves your maximum sanity in 20 (or 10, I don't remember exactly) whenever you wear it in your inventory.

That would be a prayer card in english. You can find those normally in the world as well, usually in dragon chests. In the corrupt hand campaign, you can find enough to give one to every member of the team, but I guess they stack and you could give a bunch to one person, hence them being traded for rosaries.

Really feel like the game could better communicate that you got one of those when choosing that dialog option with the inquisitor, I ended up just collecting the rosaries and doing nothing with them.

The game definitely pushes you to mess around to find out.

Yeah, I found out about that potential use after playing some more. I ended up going for the other option due to lacking the other crafting resources.

Oh wow, I've already found six of those elsewhere. Had no idea you received one from handing over a rosary—the game definitely could do a better job of communicating that.

Their effects don't seem to stack, by the way, at least as far as I can tell.

I know, sometimes it is not very clear when you receive something, especially knowledge with the numbers in negative after you purchase a new skill.
