Is the carpet quest bugged?

I'm at the point where I uncovered the rug in the dining room but can't interact with it. What I did was before speaking with the Chicken Lady I unwrapped the rug but couldn't read the tablet so I ended the day and then talked to the Chicken Lady on one of the later ones. The issue is that I still can't interact with the tablet and it tells me to uncover the carpet in the quest journal, yet the carpet is already uncovered.

Did the quest bug out for me or am I doing something wrong? How do I inspect the uncovered tablet on the floor?

Hey Vinnie! QA here.

Are you using the mouse to interact with the engravement under the carpet. Could you confirm to me that, when standing on top of the engravement, if you press spacebar (or A button on xbox controller/ X button on ps controller) you can complete the objective?

I was using left mouse click before. Space bar worked. Thanks a million!

The carpet is still not working on pc, unfortunately I have tried space bar as well as mouse without any guards around, but cant seem to find any hitbox all around and cant advance in the game (im at the uncovering carpet point, unable to uncover it)
