The Stone of Madness

How similar is this game to these other games?
How similar is this game to Desperados, Shadow Gambit, Sumerian Six, etc. Basically the Mimimi games and Sumerian Six. Is this another clone of those games, or is it a lot different, please?

It's hard to tell from the store videos, but it looks very similar.

From about 3 hours and the start of one of the campaigns, it's very different. Functionally, I'd say it's closer to El Hijo with the lack of quicksave/quickload and the lack of showdown mode to plan actions or give yourself time to think when you get spotted (and getting spotted is less of a run-killer in this, compared to mimimi games. They straight up encourage you to get spotted and start a chase so you can slip other team members behind other people).

It's not so based on levels like all the other games so far. It's much more of an open world you have to sneak through during the day, opening shortcuts that you'll use later on to make more progress, gathering resources to make items during the night that you'll use during the day or to unlock skills.

it's exactly like Space Prison but without the combat and a lot more frustration because of some mechanics works.
At the end of the day you enter a style of Darkest Dungeon camp interface, you also craft here.
It's not really Desperados, it's more like bending the rules as much as you can in the prison since there are various factions at work. The guards will be openly hostile if you do bad stuff but the prisoners or monks can alert them and search only for the character that is suspected

I have never heard of "Space Prison".

Ooh I just looked. Space Prison looks good! Do you recommend it?

It's nothing like Shadow Tactics, Desperados or Commandos. In these games combat is a viable option, or at least a Plan B. In The Stone of Madness the stealth is the only option because characters are far too fragile and helpless.
