Here's a hint tho, cursed equipment tends to have garbage stats on them, or can be equipped by literally everyone. Armor with positive AC, weapons that deal less than a D6 of damage, and so on.
Those are the usual trends at least, haven't seen anything break that pattern yet though.
Not necessarily. The Runed Flail in Traveler's Property is actually a good example of an alright item that happens to be cursed. It's 2d3+3 average damage is greater than a Flail, it does double damage to and prevents the user from being targeted by Lycanthropes/Beastmen, and the +2 AC and -2 STR are relatively minor penalties for a Priest or Bishop in the rearguard. Still costs to remove when you find a better weapon such as a Sacred Basher.
The rare Fanatic Mask in Children of King Selene is another example of a good item that is cursed. Equipable by all with AC -2 with Fire and Critical resistance.
For the base Five Ordeal scenarios, equipment won't explicitly list off their bonuses and abilities besides basic attack data and AC, or show whether they are cursed or not post-identify.
It's funny you say that because after realizing the "bonuses" (penalties), that's exactly what I did. For now, my rearguard Priest hits like a mac truck. It was a no brainer.
Thanks for everyones input! So far, very much enjoying this game and the community!
