Cursed item bug in The Price of Deception?
Hello,

I've been enjoying The Price of Deception over the last few days and just made it to the third floor of the first dungeon, where I found a cursed piece of armor called "Antique Armor."

It was unidentified at first, but I paid to have it identified and discovered that its displayed statistics contradicted its actual behavior. When I looked at the item after it was identified, it gave me four pieces of important data:

1. That the item was cursed
2. That its AC was -5
3. That it was only usable by my Samurai
4. It was called "Antique Armor"

Because the best armor for my samurai so far provided only -4 AC, I judged that wearing slightly better armor was worth the price of having to remove the curse later if I found something better. So I put the armor on my Samurai and discovered that it provided no AC benefit at all.

It didn't even hurt my AC, it just did nothing. When I looked at the armor in my inventory, it was listed as cursed, but didn't appear to actually be on my character the way his other armor was (there was no star next to the item's name), and my AC total was equal to my base AC minus the other items I was wearing (a helmet and shoes).

Is this the intended behavior for cursed armor in the game? If so, is there a way to communicate to the player that the -5 AC data is wrong? Or maybe deceptive? As it stands, it seems as though the data supplied by the game is lying to the player. If that's intended, then I think something in the scenario data should say so.

Would be interested to know if other people have had this experience too. I've read that, in other scenarios, there are cursed items that are worth using and so I assumed this piece of armor was of that kind.

Thank you!

It is a different behavior on the scenario side.
- The "curse" always serves as "AC +1" as well
- The "curse" always changes the actual AC of the equipment itself to "+1".

In The Price of Deception, it is the former.
In any case, thanks for your input.

thanks so much for the quick response! is that kind of information available somewhere in the scenario description? It makes sense as a gameplay mechanic, but I couldn't find any documentation of it to confirm.

Love this game by the way. Really brilliant work!!
