Auto Trader - how does it work?
Can somebody help me with this building? For some reason I can't understand how it works. Let's say I want to buy 80 units of cotton. Then why whenever I'm choosing 80 units, the transaction summary (I dont know how it is written in English) shows me 20/120? Also, what is this "max trade price" (or however it is written there)? Also, how do I sell items and buy other items at the same time?
I just dont get it.

I try to explain.

If you open the Trading Company Building for Auto Trade you can add Wares either for Export (the top one) or import (the bottom one). Then you can see the Name, Price, How much you have in your Inventory and the first number you can enter is the amount you want to have in your Inventory. If you sell, you sell everything above this number. If you buy stuff, it buys until this number is reached. The second Number you can enter is the amount to buy/sell in one trading round. And the last number is how much you currently buy/sell in this round.

For Example: If you have 1500 Stone and want to sell 500 you add Stone to Export, then set the first number to 1000 (what you want to keep) and the second to 100. The Auto Trade will now sell 100 Stone for the next 5 trading rounds. If you want to sell all in one go set the second number to 500 or anything above.

The Auto Trader will go from the first entry (top) to the last (bottom), if the Trade Limit is reached (Buttom Left "x/max amount") it will stop. That means if you sell 500 stone and want to buy 200 wood and your limit is 500 the trader will sell the stone but not buy the wood. This is why you can limit the amount to trade in one go.

Hope that helps.

You also must consider the auto trader is different from the normal trader.
The normal trader essential you buy/sell to the bank.
The auto trader only buy/sells what other players are also buy/selling.
So if you want to buy something you have to wait till someone else makes it available.

Ehm, no? At least not in any game that i have played so far, unless the rules changes with deity difficulty or multiplayer. I can sell and buy whatever i want with any Trader as soon as i have researched it. I just testet this with oil, i am pretty sure i am the only one that have oil, but i can buy as much as i want.

Oh, okay. So it's kinda like in Anno - you set how much you want to keep and you sell or buy items untill you get number you wrote. Okay, I think I kinda understand it now.

First row - setting X number and selling Y to achieve X. Or if Im buying then I set X as a value I want to get, so if I want to get 200 of something then I'm writing 200. OK.
Second row - I can choose how much I want to buy or sell in one round.
Third row - Shows me how much I bought in this round.

Okay, thanks for help I think I got it right and if not then please correct me/
But thanks for help guys/
