If playing with others, suggest to trade a sake maker( they can use oranges) card for the jeweler or winery cards. win win
IF you buy the cocoa breeder (or land with one on it) you can then make chocolate, which uses the milk from the cattle ranch. You can also switch up a ramen store from pork to beef, utilizing both ranch products.
As for T3, you can still research and make paper, then books, as well as the clockmaker (watches) and the electronics factory, which makes the gadgets in T3.
It's still a fun faction to use, and in the games I've used it, the sake is a GREAT export to make good money on.
I also got over 2M, so money is not an issue any more :) I´m currently just accumulating enough gold to finish the last special building.
I do like the Japanese faction a lot too, the building models are probably my favorte ones.
