Something about the Ramen in the game
I know this is just a video game there is no need to be serious, but Ramen made with rice is a little bit hilarious to me as an Asian...

The Enlightenment Age in Japan is around the Edo period (or Tokugawa period), and flour was introduced to Japan at a very late time in the era. But another Japanese cuisine Don already became popular in that age (it was the cuisine for the upper class earlier), and Don is made with rice and other things.

And ramen was first introduced from China to Japan around the late 1800s, which was about the beginning of the Industrial Age, and Japan had its own style of Ramen about one hundred years later (around the 1900s and became popular after WW2).

I can understand that author is making the new kingdom with a similar role of food resources as bread for other factions. But I would say rice noodles are completely different from Ramen noodles or other Japanese noodles.

I'm fine if the author would keep it as Ramen, but I just want to clarify it so people would not confuse.

Video game logic is video game logic.

I myself (even as a non-Asian, but a chef and 'exotic spirits hobbyist') noticed the game offering to make Yuzu sake from oranges, but without rice and went "uuuuhkay" and moved on.

The ramen thing didn't even occur to me at that point :)

But you already noticed, none of the cultures are supposed to be actual real life equivalents, and I have to say I kinda like that fact, as it also makes such things a bit more believable, or at least easier to ignore.

Exactly, those things don't bother really. I still enjoy the game. Thanks!
