I bought this over Anno 1800
And i like it! the map looks huge and i only play against 2-3 AI's opponents so it never feels cramped.

Ive played all the Anno games so i took a chance with this and it was a breath of fresh air. GG dev.

Been playing since day 1. Kingdoms and Necesse are the two best purchases I've ever made.

Dev is amazing. Frequent updates, listens and considers player feedback (huge), not afraid to revert if not well received, encourages suggestions. Super amazing game. My friends and I love Anno, but we find ourselves playing this MUCH more often. Super excited for the future too!

anno games are great, dont get me wrong. ive played almost all of them and ill get 1800 further down the road. my main issue was seeing the DLC list for anno. I already have to deal with BS from paradox and so i decided to try this game instead, and it was worth it.

just like paradox games, im sure ill scoop up the entire series of 1800 and all DLC for like 90% off in a year or two when they are 'complete' . im not in a rush, i have a backlog already
