I've got got i5 4460, GTX 750 Ti, 8gb RAM. To anyone that's got similar specs to mine how is the game faring? Will I be able to run it comfortably well?

I know you were looking for similar spec, however this may also help as I've got a higher end system. I've got a Ryzen 5600x and RTX 2060 Super and the amount of houses and people after 800 population, the fps drops from 144 to 60 and lower in some areas, depending how dense you make it. This is the case with most simulation games, I would lower the quality as that may improve it a bit.

I would say 8gb ram in general sounds like a huge bottleneck. Can't say anything to other stuff, no similar setup.

8 GB of ram is going to be your issue in almost everything you do today. Try adding 8 more.

core i9 10900k with rtx 3090, 32gb ram here. i still have fps drop. probably late game memory leak...

If you play small maps only with no AI you may be Ok. 8gb not going to be enough for late game.
