ONE OF THOSE EA/ORIGIN GAMES THAT REQUIRES THE LAUNCHER?

Is this one of those that has to run through the launcher (EA/Origin, etc)? None of the games i bought that require that (NFS, the whole series) will not launch bc of that.

if you bought it off steam no there's no third party launcher needed or required.

The games asks you to link your EA account for online play, but you don't actually need the EA app to launch it.


Also, origin's dead. EA app is the new shtick.

ok but it still tries to launch the launcher and then crashes. should i just uninstall the launcher? I don't care about online play for these.

I don't see why the launcher would open for any reason ?. Shouldn't do that. are you launching them via steam or are you launching it from the desktop shortcut ?.

via steam. if i launch any of the nfs games it opens the launcher and the game craps out

Are you still using Origin? If yes, uninstall it.

The game should start without it.

Alternatively, uninstall origin and install the EA App instead. Honestly it's basically just origin with a new coat of paint but that might work for you.

The weird thing is that it opens anything at all for you. I have the EA app installed but the game doesn't open it, it just runs straight through steam for me.


EDIT: On second thought, maybe your firewall is blocking something.

I can start the game myself as well without the EA App opening and have NFS Unbound installed and the App opens when my PC starts up.

Its needed for NFS. Its NOT NEEDED FOR GRID LEGENDS

you'll need to link to an EA account ingame but thats it.
