the archivement is kinda hard in my eyes. even you can do well first but then you have a problem later. there is just 1 thing working. trying different moves in different races until its done.
I'm a long-time GRID (1) Demo Derby player, Hoping people still play in GRID Legends
The Mode is called Car-Nage and people who appreciate the sport know that it's a skill based mode just like any other,
Except vehicles collisions are expected, and your ability to survive them and still race wins the Game.
1. you must go to settings and change career race length to X5 this will give you 35 laps to complete the main objective instead of just 7 which is impossible.
2. make sure difficulty is on easy so that the opponents drive as slowly as possible. This will make it easier to catch up to and deal damage to them
3. I allowed all vehicles to pass me and began targeting and slowly chipping away at each vehicle in front of me, sometimes two at a time as they trade positions quite regularly
4. my main technique was to slow down and give myself just enough of a runup to build enough speed to deal some damage for each hit. Every lap use the 3 boosts for a guaranteed hit on the same vehicle 3 times in a row to speed up the process.
5. You must make the final hit on the opponent for the wreck to count towards your total, if you push the opponent into a wall even while making contact, it will be considered a self wreck by the opponent, be sure to stick close to opponents with heavy damage to avoid other opponents accidentally stealing your wreck.
6. The vehicle they force you to drive has very twitchy handling and 60% of impacts result in you spinning out, when this happens quickly reverse off of the racing line so that you don't get taken out, the opponents won't target you if you are on the outsides of turns.
7. I got the 5 take downs by lap 28, giving me 6 laps to make up a couple of positions to reach 3rd, as I was already in 4th and my team mate was in 3rd. I ended up finishing 1st with about %30 health and a time of about 37 minutes. There was nothing fun about this at all, good luck and I hope this helps folks in the future.
