How to wreck 5 or 25 cars? Demolition Derby

One of the hardest challenges in the game, seems to be to wreck 5 cars in an event. Even with a maxed car and on Easy... no success. Anyone have some tips?

True that the Steam achievements have nothing to do with this crazy one. I was just trying to get 100% in the game (as I did see a hidden achievement on some platforms "You must be one genius of a driver!" - "You are the GRID Legend" and assumed it might be related.)
It's just frustrating to see I have completed all but 1 event and not unlocked the final sponsor event...
seems ridiculously hard!

The one I am referring to is definitely 5 WRECKS in ONE RACE. I have done the 3 wrecks one.. so you'd think 5 wouldnt be that hard... maybe I just need to do that event and change the length to 2x, 3x, ...
I always use the strongly Health car and crash into the weakest Jupiter Eagleray's ... still no luck. My car always wrecks.
I might try the carnage "wreck 3 cars" event and see if it's possible in that... the issue of course is you also have to finish on the podium... so you cant waste time driving up and down to hit cars... just a really still achievement!

Somehow it is easiest do wreck cars that either don't move or not going into your direction.

The finale of the demolition derby dlc career event is quiete hard - wrecking the five cars and finsihing first is hard task. I trippled the race length and tried to avoid any contact until my targets gets a red index. Almost half of the cars had lost one or more wheels after about 15 rounds so it gets easier to hit them in the side or the back and as they are immobilized they did almost no harm to your own health bar.

Actually, the Showdown in Derby isnt too bad IMHO (it's deal 6000 damage points). The one you are mentioning is the one I am talking about above. It's not the end race of the story mode, it's the Sponsor event "LUGNA" in Semi-Pro.

I JUST completed it. I stand corrected too. You are correct. For some STUPID reason, you don't have to do it in one race -- even though it says that! You can take as many races as you like to wreck 5 cars! Now, it's completely doable!

It's badly written. (And why even do a race 5 times anyway?)

So now I just have to demolish 25 cars... (and that related INDLOVU Sponsor event) to finish the game lol
i enjoyed the demolition derby races for 10mins.. now it just gets boring and stressful.. as you fly around trying to ruin their cars but not yours.
That's not a driving game! That's WRECKFEST!

You are right, I mixed that up - it was that sponsor event I found some kind of difficult. Sorry for that confusion...

that´s what i understood aswell..since it is also one of the few things i haven´t done yet.

You could farm the sponsor there. I did the story but no sponsor because it doesn't make much sense.

i have done all the sponsors when i was driving sotry or career races..and some custom once when i needed some cars to upgrade to lv 2+

There is one achievement in the CAR-NAGE DLC pack :
Demolished - Wreck 5 opponent vehicles in Classic Car-Nage events.
However, this is not required to be done in one race. So totally doable.
i wasn't aware the other ridiculously worded Sponsor challenge could be done across many races... so they are all doable now. But wrecking 25 cars is taking me ages.

There are 90 achievements list... possibly the DLC pack "Seneca & Ravenwest Double Pack" has 10 more. it didnt get highly rated. So I havent rushed to buy it yet.

I think the ten new ones without any proper naming are for a future dlc. If they were for the ravenwest/seneca dlc, which almost look like the pre-order content in some sort for me, they were some of them hidden and did have some sort of cool name for each achievement. Just my two cents.

A demolition derby is not done on a race track. The "finish line" for a demolition derby is multiple points towards the middle of a large field, square or rectangular.
