Says my steam account is connected to another game

same. says i already have a linked account even though there are only 2 emails i use. would have loved to play the demo but they seemed to have messed up big time from the other discussions involving this.

I have the same issue. I receive a newsletter for Call of the Wild: The Angler. Maybe it is seeing that registration as for another game and if ya'll have more than one game then this may be a bigger issue at launch.

Hey, do you use that same email to play any other Avalanche games? You mentioned Call of the Wild, have you played it or just signed up for the newsletters?

Ive played generation zero and I may have an account but I dont know which email it on since its not on my main one

I'm getting this same issue. Here's what I finally figured out

• I played second exctinction, and it had me create an avalanche apex account
  
• I tried to play ravenbound, and it kept saying my steam account was tied to another avalanche apex account
  
• I FINALLY figured out that when I created my account in second extinction, I had made a typo in my email address, so now my steam account is linked to that avalanche apex account for the email with a typo, which I do not have access to. I also forgot the password, and I can't recover it because I don't have access to that email address.
  
• There is an option in second extinction to unlink your steam account from that apex avalanche account, which seemed like a perfect solution, but it doesn't work. I followed the instructions (https://support.secondextinctiongame.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415700141202-Avalanche-Apex-Connect-FAQ#12.-How-do-I-change-the-Steam-account-that-is-associated-with-my-Avalanche-Apex-Connect-account ) and then I waited 24hrs... and now more than 48hrs... and my account is still linked to the email with a typo which I can't log into.

My suggestion for the account system:

• Don't associate a player's steam account with an avalanche apex account that has not yet been verified. This makes it too easy to make a typo in the email, continue playing the game with no warnings, and end up being tied to an account you don't have access to and can't recover. If the player makes a lot of progress on that apex account before they realize what happened, they are in even bigger trouble.
  
• Maybe integrate more tightly with steam, so you can log into your apex account using steam, this way the process is seamless and you don't have a separate email/password for the apex account.

I've been talking with support, but it's slow. I don't think there's any hope of me getting to try the demo before it's gone.

I'll have to check Second Extinction I did play that. Thanks I couldn't figure out what game it might have been. I only signed up for the Call of the Wild newsletter but hadn't played the game but that was the only thing I could find at the time.
