Can't take a photo of ants

For whatever reason, I can't get the picture of the ants in Oakville to count for the photo in the compendium. No matter what angle I take the photo from. The snail icon shows up too.

P.S. I love this game.

yeh they are difficult took me ages to get the photos have you tried using the zoom feature on the camera i found that helps on the smaller creatures

i did, tried everything. this is the only compendium photo ive had problems with

For compendium photos to count you have to stare right at the creature!

During development, you could just have them in the frame for it to count but that turned out super annoying because most of the time you just wanted to take a normal photo.

Hope that clears up things and that you get them on photo!

I hate to revive this but I'm just trying again now a couple days later and I still cant take a photo of them. I've tried with my character looking right at them but now the snail icon doesn't even appear over their heads.

Are there other ants that I'm supposed to be taking pictures of instead?

Just the same trouble here! A snail icon doesn't appear and every photo still doesn't count. While the quest with a "little army" counted all right with their photo. Can tell you more! When I honk near the ants every button stops working, I can just move the camera and that's all. Only Alt+F4 helps. Experienced that only near these ants.

Yes! I also had the issue where honking at them made me have to restart the game due to not being able to do anything.

As I can see in Milk Mommy's profile, it's Windows. I use Windows as well.

We just uploaded a hotfix for another issue in that same scene, can you check if it resolved this issue as well?

Usually, it's an error somewhere else that causes a chain of bad events to occur, which gives these weird issues.
