Realistic Mode Cheating

Ok so I hear people have tried and succeeded using certain tools, but has anyone tried just changing their PC internal clock? I'm wondering if this would work, it certainly has in the past for some other games. How long did it take (those of you who have it) to get the achievement with CheatEngine, and at what speed? Asking so I know in what ballpark to change my date/time to. Are we talking days or weeks here?

can i log out of the game and come back? or do i have to have the game running for the time to pass/work?
